Kurt Mazurek learned how to fish for all species, but is admittedly "a freak" for largemouth and smallmouth bass, fishing several tournaments every year. He'll tell you that his tournament experience has shaped the approach and strategies he applies to all of his fishing. In fact, these strategies are the foundation of the Fishing Forward™ concept.Kurt has always loved to be outdoors. Having grown up in the suburbs of Chicago, he truly appreciates the fishing and outdoor opportunities his current residence in the northwoods of Wisconsin offers him. When not on the front deck of his bass boat, Kurt enjoys playing guitar and writing music, studying Texas Hold 'em strategies and relaxing pizza/movie nights on the sofa with his wife and daughter.
In his professional career, Kurt has studied all aspects of graphic design, advertising and marketing. Combining his work experience with his passion for fishing makes Fishing Forward™ a dream come true.
Craig Mazurek has been a hardcore fisherman his whole life. Inspired by the early work of Al and Ron Lindner, he always knew that he could make his living in the fishing industry. Along the way, he spent a summer as a Camp Fish counselor (now defunct kid's fishing camp developed by In-Fisherman®); purchased his first, new boat at age 17 (as soon as he was old enough to get bank financing); and ran his own guide service in northern Wisconsin.When not fishing, Craig spends his time taking photos, hunting waterfowl, and listening to Brad Paisley. His ideal date (that's right ladies, he's single) would probably include a cozy fireplace, Chinese take-out, and a Star Wars movie marathon.
From the second this guy planted his tiny plastic boots on the front deck of our boat, we knew he was a superstar. From his usual position, securely zip-tied to the seat post on the front deck, Lucky Lil' Kev is straight up representing Fishing Forward™. He's an amazing conversation starter, an ambassador of good (sometimes surprisingly crude) humor, and a friend to everyone on his boat.
